Meet Our Guest Expert of the Month – Pariss Sailsman

We are so excited to announce our guest expert and theme of the month for November 2021! Pariss Sailsman took part in our World Mental Health Day campaign, and we loved her so much we asked her back to take November’s expert spot. This month’s theme is all about improving our mindset, with lessons in everything from imposter syndrome, self-sabotage and overcoming fear released every Friday for Foundation 5: Growth.

We also have some amazing mini courses from our regular experts this month, including a 4-part series on breath work for productivity with Charlie Moult, a 5-part series on releasing fear through the hamstrings with yoga teacher Toma, and a series on nutrition and the menopause with Anna. Phew!

But first, we asked Pariss some questions so that you could get to know her better. Here’s everything you need to know about our guest expert of the month!

Name: Pariss Sailsman

Where you’re based: Birmingham, West Midlands

Tell us a little bit about what you do…

I am a lady with many hats. By day I am a Multi systemic Family Therapist working with families delivering group and one to one structured therapies including: behavioural therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy to support families who have a child at risk of either going into care or entering the criminal justice system.

And by night, I am the Founder of Journal To Dreams which is a community of women who strive to live in alignment with their purpose and their calling, while completely letting go of the expectations society have set for us. We live by the mantra we are all going to make it to the top. I deliver workshops, coaching, mentoring and presentations to women with the aim of helping them to reach their highest self.

What inspired you to become a mindset coach?

I started Journal to Dreams in January 2021 after navigating a huge mindset shift. Rewind some years back I hit rock bottom, I’d lost my way and found my self on a hamster wheel of victim hood, lack of fulfilment and loss of direction! Once I reprogrammed my mindset to one of abundance, I had this real hunger and drive to help women achieve exactly the same! And it sounds so cliche but once you recondition your mindset from scarcity to abundance it will change the game. It’s been an absolute blessing to help so many women so far on my journey.

What lessons can we learn from you this month?

So, we will definitely be talking all things mindset and how the power of the mind dictates every single thing we do in life. During the month of November, I want to be your biggest cheerleader, but I also want to encourage you to look deep within to explore all the talents and skills you haven’t yet uncovered through challenging your limiting beliefs. And most importantly I want to encourage you to step out of your comfort zone, because honestly the other side is beautiful.

Why did you want to be involved at The Anti-Burnout Club?

Anti burnout club is so aligned with my core values. Wellness, self care and self love should be at the forefront of everything we do and The Anti-Burnout Club makes it so easy for us to do that! Everything you need is right at the tip of your fingers at such an amazing price.

Finally, your favourite quote please…

I honestly have two many, but one of my favourites has to be “Your name is in rooms you haven’t even entered yet”
